Why we built this
Sugar dating has a behaviour problem. Women report copy-paste openers, ghosting, pressure, and AI-written messages. The Gentleman Score makes a man’s actual conduct visible — before any conversation starts. Every outgoing message is read by an AI moderator (Claude / DeepSeek), scored across 8 dimensions, and aggregated into a single public number.
The 8 criteria
Eight dimensions, weighted. The total is the score you see on every public profile.
Greetings, no aggressive language, respectful tone.
Consistent across messages, transparent on intentions, no false promises.
Asks follow-up questions, references past messages, shows genuine interest.
Adequate length, grammar, depth — not a one-liner machine.

Reacts well to "no", patient, no pressure to escalate.
Human signals — typos, personal details, latency variance. Detects AI/LLM-style.
Reasonable cadence, no spam bursts, follows through on plans.
How we detect AI-generated profiles and copy-paste
Every message is embedded with Voyage 3 Lite and compared to the last 100 openers the same sender has written to other recipients. Cosine similarity above 0.92 is flagged as duplicate and crashes the originality score. We also run an AI-detection classifier (Claude Haiku 4.5) on every message — LLM-style vocabulary, latency regularity, and lack of typos count against the authenticity score. Profile photos are reverse-searched on TinEye on upload — a match on a known stock or escort site triggers immediate manual review.
Your rights (GDPR Article 22)
The Gentleman Score is an automated decision under GDPR Article 22. Every member has the right to: (1) see their own score and the breakdown, (2) request a human review within 30 days, (3) export the message-level scoring data we hold on them, (4) dispute the final score in writing — a member of our Trust & Safety team will respond in under 5 business days. We never use legally protected categories (race, religion, political views, health) in the score. Suppression of an account erases all scoring data within 30 days.
What it costs us — and why we do it anyway
Reading every message with AI is not free. We pay this cost because women on bestSD pay nothing for messaging — that is our promise: women never see the cost, men pay for the right to be seen. The score is what protects women from low-effort or harmful behaviour.
Frequently asked questions
Are women scored too?+
No. Sugar dating is asymmetric — men initiate, propose arrangements, and pay for messages. The behaviour problem we are solving is entirely on the male side. Women receive a separate Trust signal (verified profile, reply rate, no-show history) but no public score.
Can I see what message lowered my score?+
Yes. In your dashboard you can drill into each dimension and see which messages contributed most positively or negatively.
What if I have a typing style that looks AI?+
AI detection is one of 8 dimensions, and weighted at 10%. A single false positive cannot crash your overall score. If you believe AI detection penalises you unfairly, request a human review — we read the original messages.
Can my score go up?+
Yes — your score is a rolling 60-day average. Improving your behaviour for 30+ days lifts your score back into the green zone.
Is the score visible to me only or to everyone?+
Visible to everyone who can see your profile. We believe transparency is what makes the system work — opaque internal scoring (like Tinder Elo) protects no one.
